You will need a small saucepan, a grater/zester, and a bowl to chill the cranberry sauce in.
In a small saucepan I add 3/4 cup water. I bring it to a boil, and then add the berries. Allow the berries to burst. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Stir in sugar and lemon or orange zest. Serve chilled.
This can be made the day or two days in advance.
